InstaTrans XD - Trace and Percent Oxygen Digital Transmitter

Can you confirm the expected "in-service" life of a B1 micro-fuel cell (P/N C6689-B1) for this gas monitor when used to sample Nitrogen for trace levels of Oxygen (alarms & interlocks set at 0.05% O2)?
What is the "shelf life" of the same B1 cell?
Is the B1 micro-fuel sealed against air & then punctured to allow gas measurement upon installation into the sensor to avoid exposure to air?
If not, is there a recommended procedure to use during cell replacement to avoid this extensive zeroing time?
What barriers can we use with this product?
What is the material of the Insta Trans-XD transmitter head? (the blue surface).

What is the "shelf life" of the same B1 cell?

We would not recommend storing for more than 1 year before use.

While reading through the Operation manual, it indicated the risk of an excessive time to "zero" if the cell is exposed to air (1-2 weeks).

This does not apply to B1.

Is the B1 micro-fuel sealed against air & then punctured to allow gas measurement upon installation into the sensor to avoid exposure to air?

No, but it will go to zero quickly.

We have updated the control drawing for safety barriers of Insta Trans and added alternates such as MTL5541 and MTL4541:

What is the material of the Insta Trans-XD transmitter head? (the blue surface).

The blue head is made of Aluminum.
