Our Story
Founded in 1946 as Research Instrument Corporation, a division of Applied Physics, the company was renamed Analytic Systems when acquired by United Electro Dynamics in 1957. In 1964, Teledyne, Inc. acquired United Electro Dynamics, and Analytic Systems group became Teledyne Analytical Instruments (TAI).
Since then, TAI experienced an amalgamation in 1993 with an aerospace technology leader, Teledyne Brown Engineering out of Huntsville, Alabama and was briefly known as Teledyne Brown Engineering Analytical Instruments. Early in 1996, the company became a business unit of Teledyne Electronic Technologies, changing the company name to its present designation of Teledyne Electronic Technologies Analytical Instruments.
About Teledyne Advanced Monitoring Solutions (TAMS)
TAMS is a Teledyne reporting business unit including Teledyne Analytical Instruments and Teledyne Monitor Labs. We have embarked upon a goal to improve our organic product development together. In the last few years, we have offered several new products in the market including a new ultra-fast gas chromatograph launched for pipeline natural gas, flare gas, waste gas and refinery fuel gas applications, and also a Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) instrument to measure H2S, CO2 and Moisture using state of the art technology. These products will be 100% built and tested at TAMS facilities in the USA. These products have undergone extensive testing at facilities in North America and are ready to be manufactured complete with IECEx and ATEX approvals.
